David has 35 years of creative, communication design and branding experience. He has developed, supervised and implemented creative programs for The Ritz-Carlton Clubs, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sea Island, Fisher Island, Ford Plantation, Colleton River and more.

David, along with his wife Robin, are the principals of Laidlaw Creative, a creative design firm specializing in marketing, identity and brand development and advertising. He has partnered with a variety of businesses including resort, real estate, academic, medical, financial, non-profit and retail. His clients include American Express, Union Planters Bank, Florida Power and Light, Pew Institute for Ocean Science, Burger King Corporation, Lucent Technologies and the USTA NASDAQ 100 Open.

Before opening Laidlaw Creative, David was a principal with Turkel Laidlaw where he created and developed corporate and retail communications for such clients as American Express, Citicorp, TCBY and the University of Miami.

His association with the University of Miami began when he was Creative Director for the university, responsible for the development of a comprehensive in-house communications design program. This included creating the identity standards for the UM brand, academic and business development communications for the schools and programs within the university.

A member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) who speaks before their assemblies, David is a graduate of the University of Florida with
a BFA in design.
